This ostracon was found in Area 1 in the midst of mud brick collapse on July 14, 1999. Circa 800-900 BCE, this is our most important small find to date as there are very few inscriptions found from this time period. The partial inscription states a possible payment or offering to someone.
This partial vessel was found in Area 2 on July 20, 1999.
Further analysis will be required to determine the date of origin.
This partial vessel was found in Area 1 on July 14, 1999. Assistant Field Director Kimberly A. Maeyama (who first unearthed the vessel) commented that it would take further analysis to determine the date of origin. Reconstruction of the complete vessel is a possibility.

Back of Coin This Roman coin was found in Area 2 on July 14, 1999.
This sling stone was found in Area 3 on July 13, 1999. Field Director Dan Warner commented that sling stones were common in the Roman Period. He also said that it would be difficult to affix an exact date to an artifact like this, since sling stones were used as far back as the time of David and Goliath.
These beads were also found in Area 3 on July 13, 1999.
The are believed to be around 100 years old, possible left behind by Bedouins.
