This is where Samuel Craig and Kimberly Maeyama come
in.
They have developed all of the excavation forms in
conjunction with an extensive computer database.
All information from the forms are transferred to the
computer database by the area supervisors.
From this database, one can look for all types of a
specific artifact across fields, material from a certain
time period,
or compare loci from different fields (just to name
a few of its uses).
This information will be especially critical once the
team has left the excavation site,
as it will serve as the only record of the excavation
activity.
